Weird FA situation?

I got my aid package back in March, and it was just loans. I had the loan conference thing in my financial aid to do list. I emailed the office to see if I had to do it if I was going to decline my loans, and I found out that I don't. So I declined my loans and as soon as I did it, it showed that I was getting no aid but was still on the received package page. However, the next time I checked, it said that my FA package is not ready. It's not a huge problem because I already know I'm not getting anything, but I'm really confused because I already got it and declined it. The loan conference is also still in my to do list. I haven't seen this happen to anybody else - is there something wrong or is it just Connect Carolina or something else?

The only thing I could think of is that I received a merit scholarship, but I can't imagine that would have any impact on need-based FA.

I think it’s just a Connect Carolina thing. I still have things on my to-do list from ages ago that are still showing up as uncompleted. Are you going to dispute your FA? Otherwise, you could just give them a call and ask them to update your FA status if it’s bothering you. I doubt it’s a merit aid scholarship, those have already been given out, I think.

Thanks. I’m not going to dispute anything, I just was wondering if they decided to change anything. And I meant that I already received a merit scholarship and I didn’t know if that would for some reason mess with my FA, although that doesn’t make sense because I’m already not getting anything.

Oh, ok. I thought you saying that you thought it you might be getting another merit scholarship and that was what the message reffered to. In any event, I’d still give them a call if you’re unsure.
