Weird, student rankings

Gentlemanandscholar,

It seems to be that

1) you made your post with the INTENTION of riling of people

2) nobody was riled up. They just made sarcastic jokes to brush off the rankings that don't bother them. You purposely tried to bend their words to make them appear to be riled up, therefore, satisfying (at least in your mind) your initial goal.

-Bern700

Where did you find that stat of 450k 10 years down the line?

That stat is from a survey of Wharton alumni conducted a few years ago, surveying the salaries of alums (Wharton alums only) from 5, 10, and 15 years ago. The $450k salary is for Wharton grads with a BS only upon 15 years of graduation (ironically, according to the survey, grads with only a BS made more money after 15 years than those with an MBA). You can find it here, along with other surveys: http://www.vpul.upenn.edu/careerservices/wharton/surveys/

yeah that's the link...i read it ages ago and thought it was 10 years. But foreverzero corrected me and it is for 15 years out.

So they can't even crack the half-million mark after 15 years in the workforce? Man, I think janitors get paid that much after 15 years on the job.

so much for all those "i'm not trolling" posts, eh?

Wow that's wild. Anyone know the structure of the bonuses? I'm just confused in what form the bonus comes in. Cash or some other asset.

^^^"so much for all those "i'm not trolling" posts, eh?"

So much for the sense of humor, eh? Jeez, it was a joke! Or did you think I actually believed that janitors make that much money? Lighten up! You pennsters are way too high strung.

don't really see how that's high strung, but you're reaction certainly was

hazmat:

Perhaps the validity is the name recognition of high school students whose parents have of not graduated from college and whom are all qualified for Pell Grants and SEOG......sports fans, cannot tell you who or what the Ivy League is....I could go on. It could be valid for any of those

excuse me? one of my parents didnt graduate from college and i AM qualified for a Pell Grant. and everyone in my family knows what the ivy league is, and that penn is a great school and are happy that im going there.

oh, and they could all put together a more coherent post than the one you did...

Gentleman&Scholar: did you know that the average Berkeley grad 15 years out is making 115k.

^^^Man, I hope so! Now, could you please give me the Penn numbers too?

According to what I've heard, the average Penn grad makes around 7.24 billion after 15 yrs (give or take a few thousand)

lol I was just kidding...although the wharton numbers i posted are correct.

This may be the only ranking in which Penn State comes out ahead of Penn.

Can we start a campaign to call ourselves "the REAL Penn?" After all, Penn was here first.

Those rankings prove that most high school seniors don't have a clue about anything...lol :D
PhillySASer08, I'm with you. I want to transfer out of this stupid, good-for-nothing Ivy League and transfer into Pepperdine, so I can live in Malibu and it will be just like a real-life 90210/OC episode (expletive words...)
