Welcome Week/Bruin Bash

No I'm not kidding, I really do hope it's not them. :p

i wouldnt mind them. they'd bring actual star power to the school. i've never heard of the other bands.

Burt already came to Spring Sing. I doubt they'll line him up again.

looking forward to spring sing already :D

Burt Bacharach has been to UCLA recently? I pulled that name out of nowhere, what a coincidence.

^Burt Bacharach indeed played at Spring Sing... On that note, I strongly encourage you guys to try and make it to Spring Sing, it is one of the more enjoyable events of the year!

i'm theeeeeeere...is this something that students need tickets/show up early for or else they'll won't get in?

you need to buy tickets for spring sing, and get in line very very early to get good seats. (people line up outside SEVERAL hours before it starts).

thats not bad. i remember waiting 7 hours for a concert and it went by very quickly.

Last year I showed up at intermission for Spring Sing (without tickets), walked in, and was able to make it down to the floor level of seats without anyone noticing. That was a good night.

So I've got a question. I know you need to get wristbands for the Bruin Bash. I'm wondering if I take a friends Bruincard along with me if I can pick up wrist bands for more than just myself? I seem to recall people doing this last year, but it's been a full year so I don't remember for sure.

I feel like I saw that happening last year, too.

Not that that probably helps, but yeah. I have the same recollection.

ok...that doesn't seem too bad...i was envisioning american idol auditions kinda lines :D

K kids. According to someone presumably credible, Rooney is playing Bruin Bash.

How do we feel about this?

http://community.livejournal.com/ucla/1370329.html

Haha Caitlin posted that up, I know that girl, she's cool. She's pretty high up with the Bruin Dems and pretty involved with the school, so I assume that her sources are credible. As for the band, I don't really care about Rooney one way or the other, so I'll probably skip out on the concert unless they also signed someone else who I actually like.

That's what I'm thinking too.

R-O-O-N-E-Y
B-O-R-I-N-G

Sleeping might be more fun.

Yeah. Rooney MIGHT'VE been ok 3 years ago when they were being hyped a lot.

But eh. We'll see.

Although it will DEFINITELY be less boring than the Common Snoozefest of 2005.

I'll give it that.

rooney...eh..
