just realize i misunderstand the "Gap in Education" part in the "Verified Information"(after u click start submit process). i thought it was the "Gap" after my high school and before my college. but, i realized i was wrong. now....what can i do? or is it important? i don't want to jeopardize my application. please give me some advice.
will try to call the number tomorrow.

Not a big deal at all. Just email the UC’s you applied to and let them know about the mistake and include what you would have written in.

^^Wait…isn’t that what it means? The missing period where you didn’t attend college right after high school? Because I put down the reason why I had that missing gap…

The gap is any gap… After HS, breaks in college, ect.

the right meaning of the gap will be if you have short sessions in your cc, and you skip some such as summer or winter. i never missed big semester but just two winters. so i didnt even realize that there is a gap in my college education. ■■■
i dont want to be rejected by this stupid reason since i really put effort to keep a 4.0

Gap in Education
Your college attendance as entered indicates a gap in your education.

well that is what it asked

^^I had the same response that I had a gap in my education. But the thing is I never had a gap between my semesters – AT ALL!! I took all semesters - spring, summer, and fall - back to back.

However, they aren’t going to reject you on that basis…

they still ask you even you dont really have a GAP?..

^^Yes. So, I assumed they were asking about the gap between my high school graduation and college attendance…because that was the only gap I had.

well…i just asked my Berkeley adviser, she said you could clarify this in winter update.
i really appreciate that she still reply my email at 11pm. that really helps.

When applying last year, I had an issue where I had to list my schools as on a quarter-like system (yet my school is semester-based) due to having a five week Winter Intersession in which I took a class once. During the Winters in which I didn’t take a course, I received the gap prompt. I wrote something like “Short intersession didn’t offer classes I needed”. I don’t believe I had to write anything for not taking classes during Summer but if you are prompted to explain that gap, I would just write something simple like “Worked during Summer/no available courses/etc.”

You only really need to thoroughly explain a gap if you miss an entire semester (or true quarter). They know most people don’t take Summer courses, so I don’t think this will be too big of a deal to correct.

I’m surprised she answered. Cal’s email has been down since last week. Frustrating.

and thank you guys for your input. that helps too.
i was so anxious about this mistake.

I know…I’m dying worrying about if I won’t put all the informations right…
