Well i guess i have no shot? chances?

My essay probably did me in, that and they had already accepted my class's valedictorian.

I like BC, but my college GPA will probably end up being a 3.4, which isn't up to BC transfer standards. Plus, I really like BU.

Just for reference's sake, I do work in the admissions office, and I have been exposed to an even more rigorous admission process to my original school that does weight the "Extras" as you call them. True, they are tie breakers but it all goes into the equation when they rack and stack the applications. (This is all coming from a student who talked his way into BU without an application a week after school had started spring semester '06

Skinny fists... Having applied to BC myself and having an alumnus as a stepfather, there are other routes to pull with the admissions office. I am currently accepted to BC pursuant to a 3.2 GPA challenge that their office of admissions apparently extends to some students. That was before I really fell in love with BU at the end of last semester and the beginning of this semester. Just an FYI.

I'd rather go to BU, but nalgene--if you'd like to dig up my file and see why i was rejected...i'd really be interested to see if i could improve it for this time around. I know people who work in there can do that.

i'm not quite an administrator - i work as a President's Host but I know people that might be able to help. However, I'm not sure they keep files... when I was rejected at Notre Dame, they shredded the file and said it was gone. Contact me IRL if you want to talk more about it.

BU keeps your file for a year. I know of someone in the office that has dug out the folder and apparently it has it clearly on the page why you were, in my case, waitlisted.

If youcan ,talk to someone--I'm Justin Sheppard.

this is a well stimulated thread....but any more chance opinions?
