Well looky here...

Hey guys just wanted to share something with you all that I found useful.

CampusMap

you would’ve known about it earlier if you were on the forum last week :)

I absolutely loathe these kinds of maps… UCSD’s is even worse… they should just upload a huge .pdf of it so we can open it and drag it around like google earth… instead of waiting for every segment to load… as these map interfaces are so tiny… especially for my modern 1080p monitor… talk about appreciating 800x600 resolution…

^THANK YOU! It’s so stupid to navigate around with the mini map. I feel like playing some online web base rpg game while searching for building with UCSD mini map system where you have to click on the arrow to navigate around except for the part that there is no monster pop up ;p

dude, leuky is a genius. Why don’t we just use google earth with the ped add-on?

@boboman911

Good idea; gotta check that out… but then again I wish they sent us all like physical campus maps (like a road map) when we get there; even tho its unlikely.

^oh I got one at orientation. Kinda brown paper with the whole map and every building on it.

Cool; I hope I get one when I go to mine this month.

I meant admit day lol. I guess find a booth with one.

There should be one in your orientation folder. Well, I got mine in my ERC orientation folder :)

It shows all the buildings on Google Maps. You can use that as well.

Sorry unrelated… but is it true we get a free UCSD plastic water bottle at orientation (mine’s coming up soon), I think I’ve read it on here somewhere. Because if we do, then I won’t go buy myself a new one.

^I don’t know about other colleges, but ERC got one. We got a t-shirt too.

Revelle got a backpack/napsack thing, a shirt, and a lanyard.

Of course I’m in Revelle so even these crappy gifts didn’t make me like Revelle anymore than I already do. (which isn’t much)

Snap that’s awesome. I’m in Sixth hahaha hope I get stuff too.

@wootieburg

I got mine at Earl’s Place (since I’m in Warren) after orientation, so you might not necessarily get it then if it’s anything like last year.

laaame marshall only got a shirt for orientation…hahaha >> but there were like reusable shopping bag like things during the mini-fair thing during orientation, and plastic water bottles…magnets…and some other nit nacks.

I honestly would just like a free lanyard lol…

The Revelle lanyard is kinda lame, I need to upgrade to a legit lanyard.

Also, does anyone know where I can get my ID punched so I can slip it on a lanyard? Isn’t that how most students keep their school ID’s for a room key…

Err 3 hole puncher, that I’m pretty sure someone you know/ hallmate will have?
