How strong is the relationship? Aside from cross-registering for classes, what other things can Wellesley students do at MIT? Can they join clubs?

I know there are Wellesley students in the MIT Symphony Orchestra. There is an a capella group, the MIT/Wellesley Toons, made up of members from both campuses. Wellesley students can participate in UROP at MIT (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program). If a Wellesley student is taking classes at MIT, depending on what time of day it is, they can eat at MIT using the Wellesley meal plan. I believe there are Wellesley students who are members of the MIT Ballroom Dance Club. The MIT Exchange bus travels from Wellesley to MIT beginning at 7 am every hour during week days (different bus schedule on weekends).

All of the above is true. So yes, you can take classes, do research, and join clubs/activities. Obviously all the social events are open as well.

And vice versa. This is a 2 way relationship. MIT students can also take Wellesley classes, do research with Wellesley professors, and join Wellesley student organizations.

Awesome! I would love to join the ballroom dance club; that sounds like so much fun. Thanks everyone! It’s so cool how you kind of get 5 for 1, by going to Wellesley.
