Wellesley, Barnard, Hopkins, or Cornell?!

I'm planning on majoring in Engineering most likely. If I go to Wellesley or Barnard I will do Engineering at Columbia or MIT. I really cannot decide and I need help!!! I'm the first in my family to attend college, and this makes it very difficult to know what I want because I have no one to really tell me the benefits of any.

I’d go to Barnard if you are between Barnard and Wellesley. Columbia is RIGHT there, while MIT is quite a bit of a ride.

However, you also have the choice of Cornell…so, I think you should make it between Cornell and Barnard-your two best choices

Sadly, if I had to pick my two favorite of the four… those would be them, so i’m still stuck =/

As another soon-to-be engineering student, if you are really determined to be an serious engineering student, I would take an extremely close, discerning look at the opportunities available at Barnard and Wellesley. If your interest is more in having engineering classes available, I’d say great, go with those, but my sense is that it’s going to be MUCH different than being an engineering major at Hopkins.

Again, it really depends on what you want - Wellesley and Barnard are great schools, but I’d think carefully about the reality of being able to do engineering at the level you want. Obviously, it all depends on what you’re looking for in terms of engineering.
