I am undecided about also applying to Smith, I sorta feel like a traitor just thinking about it :P… Haha my friends and I are all buying tubs of icecream and setting the sad movies on one side, and the pumped up movies on the other… regardless of what happens, I am going to eat icecream and watch movies!!
–IF I get accepted, I am definitely going to overnight a Wellesley Sweatshirt…

My Wellesley Essay … I’m not sure how to describe it… it’s kind of just what I am looking for in a school and what Wellesley looks for in a student… and how it’s a match made in heaven!

My christmas list is going to be filled with Wellesley apparel if I do manage to get in.

Wow, 4 days until we find out!
I can hardly sit still, and I am so nervous.

If I don’t make it… I don’t know what I will do. Mom says that there is nothing I can do now to change the results.
I wish they would just tell us now!

do you guys think there’s anything special about barnard? it’s ranked pretty low on us news rankings. i think most girls apply because it’s an easy way into columbia. beside’s its location in nyc, what compels people to go to barnard?

Just because the US News ranks Barnard low doesn’t mean it doesn’t have anything special, niightingale. Personally, I think the US News ranking’s is a bunch of nonsense. It shouldn’t influence how people choose colleges…

I’m sure there are special qualities about Barnard, just like there are special qualities about Wellesley. I personally haven’t been there, but I’ve heard wonderful things about the school. Maybe the school’s not for you, but it is for other people.

I like Barnard too, largely because it’s in NYC. Right now it’s tied with Macaulay for my second choice school if I get rejected from Wellesley.

I can’t eat. I can’t sleep. I can’t do my homework. I feel as if I have a crush.
Now I seriously don’t have any idea what the decision might be. I have been speculating for too long already!

Macaulay Honors College is a CUNY (City Univ. of NY) initiative; it’s more selective than the regular CUNY schools, plus you get free tuition and housing for four years, plus a research stipend, etc. depending on which CUNY campus you decide to go to.

haematic, I’m applying Wellesley (RD) and Macaulay (RD) too! I’m applying to The City College for Macaulay.

Until the past week, I had been completely in love with Wellesley. Now that it’s almost time to find out decisions, I’m finding that I’d also be happy at Barnard or Macaulay at Hunter too. It’ll make any rejection more bearable – though rejection will still mean I have tons of essays to write over Christmas break (and this weekend for Macaulay!).

bleeh. I always thought I’d be a shoo-in at Wellesley (cocky I know) but now everyones making me nervous! I looked at the decisions from last year and some people had gotten in to Amherst and not Wellesley! Weeird! Maybe I should have gone for Amherst anywayyy…

Hahaha, thanks TKDchick25!
One of my best friends just found out that she’s accepted to Dartmouth and I’ve never been so puzzled in my life!! I’m extremely happy because of her, but that made my anxiety even greater, now I’m completely numb, I don’t know what to do until Friday.
