I got accepted!! I can’t even put into words how excited I am! Congrats to the rest of you that got in! And again to those who didn’t I’m really sorry but I know y’all will get into amazing colleges because you all seem so smart and nice!
For those who are deferred, don’t give up!!! I’m a firm believer of “everything happens for a reason.” Please have faith in yourselves, and know that whatever happens is for the best, maybe it’s not obvious now, but it will be!!!

@rivers86 Me too!!! I was in my English class, and my teacher prepared a fruit platter for us in anticipation of my moment regardless of the result. A little after 3, everybody gathered around me while I was checking. When I saw the “congratulations,” I screamed, jumped up and ran to the corner of the room, squatted, jumped up a few more times and cried in my friend’s arm… Then I suddenly stopped all that reaction and seriously thought “did I read it correctly?” It was SO DRAMATIC. I thought about videotaping the moment but was afraid I’d get a rejection so I didn’t… but it would have been a hilarious one!

@xyx5182 Yeah, I was deferred but I also believe that everything happens for a reason, at least in many cases. I’m glad to be given an opportunity to apply to more colleges. Thanks for your words of encouragement!

Accepted So happy, and it certainly goes to show gpa isn’t everything.
And SAT Score is definitely not everything either!
@xyx5182 omg I wish you had! that sounds great! my mom left me alone to do it and then i literally almost fell down the stairs yelling her name when I saw the congratulations! i was so nervous when she came to read it cause i was afraid I had imagined it too haha!
hey, do you know if wellesley rejects ED or do they just defer?
@ckwell Wellesley doesn’t really reject a lot of people during early devision. I believe last year of the 376 girls who applied early decision 120 were deferred, of whom 20 were accepted later, and 80 were rejected.
