As I understand, people who have jobs on campus as part of their fin aid (and not) sign up for them during Orientation? However, on the Wellesley portal there are "ads" for certain jobs and "contact the currator" or something similar buttons. Should I try to sign up for a job now?

Also, during my campus visit one student told me there is a wab-site just for Wellesley students where I can read feedback about certain teachers/classes. Can someone post a link please? Thanks!

If you are on work-study, there will be opportunities for you to find out more about on-campus jobs during Orientation. This is also true for non work-study students. If you have found a job posted on MyWellesley that is interesting to you, definitely get in touch with the person/department now – jobs go quickly.

You will have access to the Opinions conference on professors and classes once you arrive on campus and have access to FirstClass. If you have any questions about specifics classes/professors now, feel free to post on here!

Can I access FirstClass now, before arriving on campus? Does the official sighning-up for a class happen on Banner Self-Service?

Also, I was trying to work out my shedule and I don’t know whether I should include Psych 101 in it because I took a course just like it in another college summer session. Whom should I talk to about transfer credit? Would you advise taking Psych again for a solid basis?

Also, the rooming - do you have to find someone willing to switch in order to move out of your assigned room? What if I can’t find someone to switch with?

Thanks so much for answering!!!

No, you cannot access FirstClass now. Course registration does occur on Banner, and there will be instructions and guidance out the ying yang about forming your schedule and the logistics of registering during Orientation.

I think it is easiest to switch out of your room if you find someone to swap with you, but it is possible to switch without finding someone. The housing office sends out emails with pertinent information after the school year begins.

You will get access to FirstClass the second day of Orientation I believe. Registration will be that Friday morning. More information about Orientation will be released throughout the summer, through mail and the MyWellesley portal.

Room freeze is until the end of September (Sept 20-something). The housing office will release information about the process then.
