There's an acceptance and waitlist thread, but no rejection thread, understandably.

:( I really really wanted to go to Wellesley. Goodbye, dream.
Maybe it is simply God's way... >_<

All other rejectees, let's mourn together.

I got rejected, but by this point I was not that dissapointed. It was my first choice, but bleh. I figure, I'll go to my second choice which seems cool and they really want me, and if I get good grades and I dont like that much the place, I'll try for a transfer

But you know what really bothers me? Loads of girls for whom Wellesley was like the 3rd or even 5th in their list got in, but you and me who would've killed to go there didn't. Such is life.

To respond you rayandoelsol's comment, the same goes for every other college out there (even for MIT and other "high-caliber" institutions). All those who were rejected from their first choice college will obviously get upset when they hear about acceptances for that college by kids who didn't even want to go. Yeah, life sucks. But that's the college process. No one can tell kids where not to apply because they're overqualified and could leave a spot for someone else who really wanted to go. But it's a dog-eat-dog world. And the process is really random. So go on with life and I guarantee a year down the road, we're all going to be saying "Wellesley? What is that?" or "+Insert first-choice college here+ What?"
