I'm a little freaked that all my colleges ended up being all-women's colleges, but w/e. Both Bryn and Wellesley are BEAUTIFUL, and Barnard is sorta kinda part of Columbia U. (it seems), so NYC.

All three offer more or less equal financial aid...

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I got into Barnard and Wellesley and have a thread up. Wellesley is sort of out for me becuase its too “all girls” where as at Barnard you are integrated into the Columbia community, receive a degree from Columbia, and are in NYC.
It depends what kind of person you are.

Bryn Mawr: You get to call yourself a “Mawrtyr” for the rest of your life. Which really makes people stop and think when they read it on your T-shirt.

You’re super lucky! Congrats, I got into Byrn Mawr and Mount Holyoke. I decide by who gives me the most aid. From what you’ve said I’d eliminate Barnard. You should try deciding on what interests you most, ex:medical or law.

^ yeah, my stats are up on all three boards (Wellesley’s, Barnard’s, and Bryn’s). They shouldn’t be hard to find.

I really have absolutely no idea what I want to major in, so that’s no help. I am comparing the fa, but as I said, they all pulled through at pretty much dead even.

With Wellesley and Bryn, I’m worried about the isolation+all girls thing. I’ve also heard that Bryn has a tendancy to coddle their students (which I guess might not be a bad thing, but…). I’ve also heard that students tend to get claustrophobic by year two. On the other hand, I love the traditions/community feel. With Wellesley, I don’t get as much of the community feel, but it seems a bit more prestigious (yes, I said it). Barnard, while it has absolutely no community feel (comparatively) it is located in NYC. NYC.

I don’t mind discussing prestige, who cares? It does play a small factor in alot of decisions, whether people admit it or not. It’s actually my big debate right now between NYU and Barnard…Barnard is the MOST SELECTIVE all womens college. It’s relationship with Columbia also distinguishes it. Wellesley is without a doubt, a truly amazing school.
Also, there’s different reputations equated with both (I don’t know anything about Bryn).
In fact, my Wellesley interviewer said that when she first saw me, she thought I was a Barnard Girl, due to my fashion choices (My outfit may have been a little fashion forward)
And Wellesley, produces “women power houses”
Hope this helps.

I would certainly pick Barnard. I think that it’s integration with Columbia helps offset the “all girls” part of it. My cousin is at Bryn Mawr and doesn’t seem too happy there.
