Wellesley vs Bryn Mawr?

I have been trying to decide between these two colleges of which to attend.
I understand that Wellesley has a higher overall rank than Bryn Mawr, but I am also very appealed to Bryn Mawr's Tri-Co system and the opportunity to take classes in Upenn. I live very close to Wellesley College so I know much more about it than I know about Bryn Mawr. I have always known that Wellesley is very academic focus (so does Bryn Mawr) and political active and that is why I love about it. However, its location is rather dull (since I have been living close by for several years) and Philly is fresh and new to me.

I wish to major in International Relations/Studies or Political Science, and minor in Environmental Policy/Studies, and I know that Wellesley has very strong IR and PS departments and both schools are aware of sustainable living. However, I think the Tri-Co system and Upenn classes are definitely a strong academic support in Bryn Mawr as well.

Could someone please give me some advise of which one should be more preferable to me?

You sound like you want to go to Bryn Mawr and are seeking reassurance that going to a lower ranked school. It is ok. I would just make sure you remember that you’ll be attending BM, not UPenn.

Wellesley 10 thank you I do understand that Bryn Mawr is not upenn and I love Bryn Mawr for itself. For now I am in a dilemma not because of the ranking but more about which I will gain more of what I look for in my college years.

I love Wellesley as much as anyone, but college is a time for exploration. If Bryn Mawr is calling you, go there. I can certainly understand wanting something new.

NJsue,
I think you are right. Despite the fact I that I am an international student and everything in the states still remains fresh to me. It is one for me to explore another region in the states!!!

Wangy20, I just want to remind you that, Undergraduate Education is most likely a “once-a-life” experience. You can’t afford to use it to “explore another region”, and you can’t explore the other 49 states anyway!!! You need to make decision based the college itself to see if its the best fit for you.
