Wells Scholars Program

Has anyone received an invitation to interview for Wells Scholars Program?

Bump…please…

I got mine today. It came as a packet (big envelope) in the mail, nothing by email.

Congrats Flamewire…unfortunately I did not get invited for an interview. I know everything works out for the best but I was really hoping to attend IU

Aww, that’s too bad. Did you get notified that you didn’t make it, or did you just not get anything? The other nominee from my school is wondering … Also, you may still have a shot at some great scholarships if you fill out the SSA–did you get invited to apply for those?

Got a letter in the mail today. I did fill out the SSA but being OOS I would still need a lot of merit aid to attend. Do you have any idea how much money you can get from the selective scholarships?

I think I read somewhere that the scholarships from SSA are 1 - 6k, but I’m not sure about that.

1214mom…I also heard that. My brother received $6000

Hutton Honors scholarships are $1-6K; but there are additional scholarships through the SSA - Direct Admit scholarships (which are numerous if you are in Kelley) and Cox scholarships.

Think Cox scholarships are only for Indiana residents

Flamewire, Congratulation on the invite and good luck on your interview.

bigbooklover, There are factors of luck in this. We would be happy for you to come to IU. How much would you have to pay for your state school? I would guess that your state school, except for Illinois, would cover your tuition. If that is the case, a gap of 16K/yr would be difficult to close. If you are not considering business/music, you should be more serious about your state schools. There is no big difference from any of the big 10 schools. Make sure that you have submitted your applications to a couple of “safety” schools you would like to attend.

ace550…thanks for the advice. I have applied and been accepted to my “back up” school. I am from California and the entire state system is very different than other states.

Are the Kelley Full Ride scholarships ALL in state now? Last year there was at least
one OOS? Are there any other Full Rides available to OOS/Business? not a minority
My dd got the SSA but we are shocked at the difference between last years application ( ds) and this years.
