Were acceptances priority mailed?

The reason I ask is I'm still waiting on their decision... considering that they sent them out Thursday, I was really expecting a decision in the mail today (CT). Can anyone who was accepted confirm whether Stanford sent acceptances out priority mail? Or everything just first class?

i've heard its all first class...but, well...i didn't get anything in the mail today either (while people at the same school did)

sooooo.... o.O

I think people in CT can hold out hope until tuesday

I'm in socal and I'm expecting to get stuff today

do you guys think they sent out acceptances and waitlists earlier than rejections? does this line of reasoning hold true for any of your schools

I think they send out everything at the same time

I got my acceptances/rejections/waitlists in a pretty random order

no i mean within your own school, were the envelopes that arrived today all acceptances and waitlists or no?

Karthikkito, were the letters received in your school rejections, acceptances or waitlistings? Do you have any idea? If they were all acceptances, that is bad for us. Anything else is good. ;)

looks like a mix

are you sure there were rejections?

FYI---The results threas has an N
YC an
d1 a 1W1estchester accept.---today

yep...so thats either a good thing (not sent on different dates) or a bad thing (if sent on different dates...no luck at all).

Ok, reverting to English now: the results thread has a Westchester and an NYC accept. on it from today's mail.

The acceptances are sent regular post. I got mine (postedmarked 3/31) today in Nebraska.

Ok, that's good to hear. I guess I still kind of have a pathetically low chance of maybe getting in. :D

did anyone attempt to answer the question of whether or not there were East Coast rejections today? if not then you might as well call it quits

yep, there were (see my earlier post) :)

Well, I live in Arizona and still haven't received anything...but my mail is notorious for being really slow. I'm kinda worried though that I got rejected =/. I'm also wondering if anyone has received rejection letters yet from outside of CA.

okay, so its just our mailman/lady's fault or our local post office's fault then?

its strange that someone in the same vicinity wouuld receive it before you...hmm...

its probably more to do with the local post office. we have two very close to each other where i am, and im sure one (the newer one) is faster...

In Connecticut - just got my acceptance from Stanford a few hours ago regular mail.

It is in the 60s in Palo Alto. 40 degres and gloomy here in CT.

Can we start tomorrow! Good Bye Connecticut.
