wesconn to yale?

hey everybody!
Do u think that if a student did really well in a state university like western connecticut state university, do u think yale would except him. If they did really well meaning like a high G.P.A and excellent A grades and major ECs. And prior to that, the student would have like an SAT score of above 2000 and OK high school grades and awesome ECs.

Furthermore, u think the student could possibly get scholarships so that they don't have to pay as much in tuition at yale?

Or how about the same deal except in university of connecticut- uconn?

I would appreciate any bit of information i could get about this. Thanx.

Probably not, Yale's transfer rate is less than 4%. You have to be absolutely amazing, possibly better than most of the candidates who apply as freshman.

I doubt it, and unless you did what derek said ^ AND was a legacy and your father designed one of the building or something.. it's a long shot.

I would try Brown, Cornell, and UPENN if you want a slightly better chance at transferring into an Ivy. You probably would reallly need to demonstrate interest in Yale for acceptance... for example, are you going to row for them (heavy, varsity), lead their student government, etc.

(Try Cornell, it's the most fair Ivy transfer school) - That's where I am applying to.

That is not necessarily the case; a Yale admissions officer has been quoted as stating that they 'accept applications they would otherwise reject as freshmen'. Though this is ambiguous, it does not imply the absurdly high standards you postulate.

Well, look at the people who we know applied and got in. Northrams got in. I'd say most of the people who get in as transfers probably were qualified to get in as freshman.

That is fallacious reasoning.

Hi, I actually go to westconn myself! Im in the process of transferring, possibly to Smith.

why yale? You might want to consider some other schools as well. Westconn sucks, I know. If you work hard, you can get out! I did!
