West Point Admissions (A Secret)

if you have decided on West Point. If you decide that you will attend, then chances are you will attend if you wil focus on one important qualification requirement.

You must be under 23 when you enter Beast.

Ponder that.

While it seems an incredible long time from 18 to 22 -it isnt.

Almost a third of each year's admitted are well over 18.

if you are a good person - and I think we all can answer that in a flash of honesty quickly - and you truly insist on attending West Point, you very likely will.

It does little to ask if I am "good enough" for gaining admission based upon this or that detail - in fact your asking might indicate you havent really decided that you will attend.

I hope that post is a joke.

Not sure of his point…but it is certainly no secret that there is an age range of eligibility for the Naval Academy, perhaps it is a ‘secret’ for admissions to WP.
…it is posted right here on their website… [USNA Admissions - Steps for Admission - Step 2) Eligibility Requirements](http://www.usna.edu/Admissions/steps2.htm) Saying “(if) you truly insist on attending West Point, you very likely will” isn’t reality. Tell that to all those who applied but didn’t get an appointment and see what they say.

I think what he is saying is that many people worry so much about “will I get in?” Then there are the other people out there that won’t take no for an answer and do everything in their power to get in. Like me, for instance. I’m a sophomore right now, and I AM going to West Point. Not I hope, not I would love to, but I WILL. I just know that I will because I don’t take no for an answer. Even if I have to apply every single year till I’m 23. “can’t” isn’t in my vocab. That is the kind of thing GMRobertson is talking about. The people that question whether they will get in, may not want it that much.
