West Point/USNA Chance

Alright so I love my country (cliche I know). So I want to serve in the military. I would like to know how I stand for THe Naval Academy or Military Academy (a.k.a. West Point)

I know I don't do sports, I could if I want I just don't have the time. I work out 5-6 times a week though and believe I can pass the physical test.

My school doesn't tell us our grades on a 4 point scale
Unweighted Cummulative GPA: 96.3
Weighted Cummulative GPA: 100.6

I am predicting this to go up. What brought my GPA down was the unweighted courses I took in 8th grade (Algebra and Earth Science). Perhaps a better set of grades to look at are my GPA's for each quarter of Freshmen year. The number in parentheses is the weighted GPA for the numbers following.

Q1: 95 (101.36
Q2: 96.5 (102.29)
Q3: 98 (104.5)
Q4: 97.5 (104)

I also expect these to increase next year because I am taking classes with a higher weight and cutting an unweighted class.

Regents:
Bio: 100
Geometry: 92
Earth Science: 97
Algebra: 95

Here are my Extra Curriculars:
Intern at my Congressman's Office
President of my Class Student Government
Science Research

So what are my chances?

Based on your grades alone, you have a pretty good shot. A lot of West Point applicants do sports at JV/varsity level, so that may set you back a bit, but you’re still highly qualified :)

The academies are looking for leadership. Leadership is often demonstrated through sports.

You are a sophomore?
