Does anyone on here know anything about westover?

I applied to Westover too but I didn’t get anything. I think we’ll get a letter on Monday.

I got an email with a congratulations video on Saturday mowing, but what did you think of the school?

My daughter felt so at home the moment she walked in the door at Westover. It exudes charm and warmth, the curriculum has been exactingly developed over many years, the most important traditions have been preserved, but it’s not stuffy or snooty. That was our impression. The girls are relaxed and friendly. If you’re a super athlete, you might be disappointed. The admin even admits that they’re not a sports superpower–they’re a bit small for that. But they have a very strong math/science program with a greater percent of students taking AP Calculus than any other school in CT, I believe. Also a very strong dance and arts/art history program. We’re from the south and love all the cultural offerings of NYC, so the proximity to the city is also very appealing. If you are unsure, please go to a revisit day!

I can answer any questions that you might have. Daughter is currently a sophomore - this is her second year.

My daughter is a senior. We feel that Westover is a hidden gem and as she says “very underrated”. The teachers are terriffic, college placement office outstanding, and the administration supportive and responsive. The college acceptances this year are quite impressive for such a small school. D did the Spanish exchange this winter term and loved it.
Send questions if you have any.
