WHAP vs. APEH

Hey guys, I need to take a social studies course for my upcoming school year and I’m unsure whether I should take AP World History or AP European History. Most of the sites online say that the exams are about equal and most colleges do not care which one you take, as long as you take one of them. However, my friends and teachers say that APEH is significantly better for college applications. I would rather take WHAP though. Any advice will be helpful.

I took AP world history back in high school it was really fun and somewhat easy , as for APEH I can’t say such since I didn’t take it, honestly take something you feel more comfortable with and know you will enjoy

why is rat there? haha sorry ! I fixed it

I loved EHAP, but that’s just me.

I find Europe to be much more fascinating than general world history.

It’s a pity you can’t do both, there is a ton of content overlap (as Europe also had a large effect on the world).

Both are equally valuable to colleges (and some students who want to major in social science/humanities have all three with apush).
AP world is broader: you cover 15,000 years of history around the world, so your knowledge is very broad but not deep. You have to understand broad movements but lots of them over long periods of time. It’s helpful if you know a little about the different regions.
AP Euro starts about 500 years ago, so shorter period and fewer countries… but you cover countries in more depth. You have to understand causes and consequences in more detail.

Yeah, I’m most likely going to take WHAP. It just seems more fun to me. .
