I am an international applicant (UK) looking at applying to Wharton (Finance major) undergraduate.

All my EC's are business/finance focused, will this be bad for my application or boost it? I heard US unis prefer a wider range of EC's. I have a bit of voluntary work and that is about it.

Wharton will love that. Wharton is different from liberal arts schools because it offers one degree with slight variations (finance vs. real estate is only a four-course difference). As a result, the students it attracts and for whom the school looks are focused and usually know exactly what they want to do starting in high school–biz/fnce ECs reflect that. A liberal arts school may want more variation, but at the end of the day no one really cares if you’re mediocre at many things, only if you’re great at a few.
