I've been a longtime lurker on CC but I just created an account to seek some help :).

I was accepted to Penn for Biological Basis of Behavior and I wanted to study sociolinguistics/neurolinguistics because Penn is famous for William Labov, the pioneer basically of sociolinguistics, and Noam Chomsky who I believe graduated from Penn. Also, the PPE major really interests me because I've been involved in political ECs like lobbying in Congress and creating political documentaries and stuff.

Before applying, I didn't even look at Wharton AT ALL because I always had these prejudices about business people and didn't see myself as "one of them" (the FBLA and DECA kids at my school who do their presentations the night before and win Nationals). I also didn't have any Econ exposure until this semester. However, I'm finding myself enjoying Econ way more than I would have ever thought. So now I'm actually looking at Wharton's programs and kind of wishing that I had applied to Wharton. (I'm still not sure though,

So I have a few (maybe a little more than a few..) questions:
1. Is an internal transfer from CAS to Wharton really as hard as rumored to be? Does anyone have any stats on how many actually get it vs. number applied? (For reference, 4.0 UW GPA at basically the top non-magnet public high school in CA, 2350 SAT one sitting taken October sophomore year)
2. Would it be hard to catch up if I took Econ 001, 002, Math 104, a language, and something else my first year?
3. How hard would it be socially? Would people automatically think I took the backroute into Wharton? Do people bond a lot in Wharton-only classes during the first year?
4. Is a dual degree between CAS and Wharton (probably PPE and Finance) harder than an internal transfer?

(kind of unrelated question) How hard would it be to double-major BBB and PPE and graduate in 4 years?

Thanks so much for reading that REALLY long question :/ and any responses would be appreciated!
