Finance, management, real estate, marketing? etc?

Could someone list theirs and WHY?

hmm, too bad Wharton doesnt have a single major. Only concentrations.

PWNED

i think the general answer would be "because i like it"

but in any case the saying is that wharton is at least half finance concentrators...

here's the list of concentrations for anyone curious:

Accounting
Actuarial Science
Business and Public Policy
Entrepreneurship (second concentration only)
Environmental Policy & Management
Finance
Global Analysis (second concentration only)
Health Care Management and Policy
Individualized
Insurance and Risk Management
Legal Studies & Business Ethics (second concentration only)
Management
Managing Electronic Commerce (second concentration only)
Marketing
Marketing & Communication (dual concentration)
Operations and Information Management
Real Estate
Retailing (second concentration only)
Statistics
Transportation

and yes people double or even triple concentrate...

what % are marketing or management?

lol it's so hard for me to decide...I'm interested in finance, real estate, marketing, and entrepreneurship. I'll probably be able to figure it out better by sophomore year

Provided I get in.. probably Finance, Marketing, and Legal Studies & Business Ethics (if I end up wanting to triple major.. I know my dad did when he went there, but it may've gotten more difficult to do since then).

Though, I've also considered picking up a major in the College (Philosophy, Politics & Economics)... though mainly I really just want to work on getting in to the submatric program into the Law school. Anyone else here considering law as well as business?

Major in n00bdomination

I'm considering law also...this is so hard!!!

I'll probably just go with n00bdomination like legendofmax

Marketing for me if I get in. I think it would be exciting and creative.

Management and Entrepreneurship...

and Chanman, ILU

i'm minoring in n00bdomination

if i did a dual major with wharton after my freshman year (after bieng accepted :O ), id probably aim for a legal studies & ethics/finance/management. for bioengineering, id say having a second major in ethics could be really useful, as many of the problems centered around such an engineering field and the products developed are the result of business ethics and the moral discussions of the scientific community. i dunno though, itd always be cool to have investment banking as a backup incase i didnt like engineering ;)

Most people who have always wanted to or say they want to do something else with their lives end up interviewing and accepting i-banking jobs anyway because 120,000 out of graduation is a lot more attractive than going another 20K in debt for grad school, especially when you have 180,000 of loans to pay back plus interest.

i understand them...it's quite reasonable

i mean, comparatively, it's quite a lot of money getting out first time

I may minor in Biological Basis of Behavior & Health Services Management.
If I decide that premed isn't for me, I may try to switch from an econ major to a finance + math major. Either finance + math or finance + global analysis.

ah venkat what school are you going to again?

CAS. I have no idea what I want to major in and it feels so good yet so bad at the same time. I have it narrowed down to Econ and BBB, but really don't know what is best.

marketing and entrepreneurship(maybe)

Im doing Statistics and Finance
no one does stats here

what jobs are available for management concentrations?
