What AP biology textbook do you use?

Which book does your school use for AP biology?
My school uses Mader, but it seems most people use Campbell/Reece.

Campbell’s AP book is a complete piece of ****.

we used campbell’s (fifth edition lol)

CAMPBELL IS AMAZING, BUT DO NOT USE THE AP VERSION. Get the regular Campbell, 6th edition, it is so amazing.

^I concur. The regular version is far better.

We use Campbell’s (seventh edition). I looked through it and it doesn’t look like something I would read for fun.

Campbells 8th, the international edition. At least now I’m not paying over a 100$ for that book :D

Campbell’s as well, I think it was the 6th or 7th edition.

what’s the difference between ap version and regular?

the regular version isn’t complete crap.

But seriously, I think the regular version teaches almost the same amount of information in a much more concise, organized manner (the difference is truly considerable).

Campbell’s Seventh. It’s the standard for AP bio.

Campbell/Reece 7th edition. As for people who say it’s poor, well, I can read it for pleasure. It is well-written and informative.

Campbell’s 6th edition

Our class did a semester of Campbell’s AP edition and a semester of the regular Campbell.

is the content actually different from the ap to regular edition?
i got the impression that it was the same, just the ap edition had some crap in the beginning about how it corresponds to collegeboard’s ap curriculum
our class used campbell’s 8th ed. though i barely read it

Campbell’s 7th Edition - It had a TON of detail, but was easy to read/ lots of good diagrams.

my school uses campbell.

Would someone tell me why the ap edition is crappier than the regular version before I buy the ap edition?

As far as I know, the AP edition just has some chart that shows how each chapter relates to the outline the College Board has provided. I don’t think the text is neutered in any way - at least, the 7th edition wasn’t.

Starr & Taggart’s Biology. Nice picture on the cover, an online quiz system, and it helps you understand the ‘why’ as well as the ‘how.’

Bahamut - I think that was the honors textbook at my school…I wasn’t too fond of it, it didn’t seen to do a good job of explaining the material.
