What AP Classes You Should Take?

I have realized that you shouldn't just take all the AP classes because if your AP program is fierce then you shouldn't be able to handle more than a few a year. The most important ones to take are the ones that you really like. Like if you like History take AP World and AP US. Also take ones that are required in college. Many colleges have General ED reqs so take those to get out of the subjects you don't like. And don't take so many because in the end they probably won't matter much.

I agree. Taking 20 APs is a bit over the top.

Taking APs just for the sake of taking APs is kind of silly, but they are often the only way to get even semirigorous classes in high school. At my school, at least, even AP classes pall in comparison to the dual enrollment classes I take at a local state university, and the honors classes are, quite frankly, laughable.

do as many APs as you think you will be able to handle
also don't take them because they will look better on your transcript, but take them if you are actually interested in that subject and want to learn about it in more depth
