Good day! I am a High School Sophomore, and I am anticipated in taking the Physics SAT Subject Test. (for I am planning on studying Physics as a major) I would like to know what AP classes would prepare me for the Physics SAT Subject Test. As a Junior, I plan on taking AP Physics 1. As a Senior, I plan on taking AP Physics C: Mechanics. Will this be enough, or will I be missing out on topics studied in AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C: E/M that I will need to know? (such as Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Modern Physics)

You will need to know mech, e&m, optics, waves, thermo, and modern phys for the SAT, so if you only take AP Phys 1 or AP Phys C: Mech, you will not learn all the content. If you still wish to take the subject test, you might consider self-studying the content that you will not learn.

I think taking AP Physics 1 plus self studying thoroughly through a SAT 2 book or two should be enough. If you are interested in physics the studying and understanding should come easy, plus there are tons of practice tests to check your progress.
