I have been using this one, but would like to learn which ones you use.

I use this one – [Memorize SAT and GRE vocabulary | myvocabapp](http://www.myvocabapp.com) – worked wonders for me. breezed through 4000 words in under 2 months with around 85%+ retention.

I don’t recommend apps.
Try Webster’s Vocabulary Builder.It’s useful.
And,I’d rather improve my vocabulary through reading, especially SAT CR.Once I meet new words,I’d consult dictionary(after working the CR).

I personally like the Dictionary.com word of the day (though they put easy words on it too often).

Thanks for the links! I shall now use them

I know this won’t help in the short term, but read a variety of novels.

YES. And they often put rhetorical devices no-one knows like zeugma, antimetabole, chiasmus, or anadiplosis. Which can really wow the College Board.

Listen to this person and also use Word Dynamo, its a computer app with words already preset into flashcards, crosswords, and other stuff. In my opinion you should do this for at least 20 minutes a day.

QUIZLET ftw.
