What APs to take for senior year

I’m planning out my schedule for next year and it currently looks something like this:

AP Chemistry (double period)
AP World History
AP Stats
AP Literature
Foundation of tech (required)
Health (required, may take over summer)

However, I really like art and don’t know if I should take AP Art instead of AP World and put in Honors World instead. I like AP Lit better than World, plus my counselor says colleges will think it’s weird if I do not take any English classes so I am keeping it. My two main interests are science (biochem) and art, but would taking Art be helpful for college? I know I should take classes I’m interested in, but realistically is it a waste? (I want to major in something bio-related, maybe healthcare)
I would appreciate any advice!!

Also, should I take AP Chem if I haven’t taken Honors Chem? I have studied Chem, but not in English (I moved to the US a year ago) Is it enough to prepare during the summer?

Have you already taken precalc? What types of colleges are you aiming for? Your counselor is right that you need an English class. I’d lean toward AP Art if you have room, simply because you’re interested.

What educational system did you move from? You don’t need honors chem but you do need some exposure to chemistry as a subject.
You need a math class (precalculus or calculus if you’re leaning toward a pre health major, unless you already completed that), an English class (AP language deals with non fiction and composition, AP lit deals with classics), a science class (so, AP chem), a social science or history, and probably an elective (art, in your case).

I would recommend switching AP World with an AP Stats or AP Psych course.

@evergreen5 I am in AP Cal ab now, and I’m not majoring in engineering. Would stats be more related to bio/healthcare though? I want to go to a top 50-ish college (only with aid though), or probably just state school.

@MYOS1634 I moved from an Asian country. Very intense science curriculum, but mainly memorization based. I’m just worried about language and pacing. As of social science, would you recommend not taking AP World (hnrs instead)? I could only choose AP World or AP Art since I already have 3 APs

You’ll have to take both calculus and statistics/ biostatistics in college if pre health.
If you like the curriculum for AP lit better than AP world no problem but do take an honors social science.

Do you remember to what extent your former chemistry course covered? Right now I’m in Chem Honors and we are expected to cover things like stoichiometry, thermodynamics, ideal gas/gas, titration, equilibrium, acids/bases, etc. If those sound familiar, then I’d say that AP Chemistry shouldn’t be too hard for you.
