What are chances of getting a good scholarship package from Ramapo College?

My SAT Verbal is 760 and SAT Math is 680. I have 5 in AP Calculus AB, 4 in AP Psychology & 4 in AP Environmental Science. My school work: A in Biology, B+ in chemistry, A in Math. I got an academic award in chemistry. My financial background is not good so I really need a good scholarship. My SAT 2 results: 760 in SAT math 2c, 790 in SAT BIO-M, 700 in SAT chemistry, and 690 in SAT physics

bump...scholarships anyone? did anyone get any frm here?

jw...your score seems good enough to warant a merit scholarship from better state and private schools? Why ramapo

I think Ramapo is a great school. Did background research on it lately, I did a lot actually on it and I do think it has a lot of offer. Anyways I only can enroll in the college if they give me a full ride, family situation and all. If not it is not meant to be...

Have you thought about Rutgers? In my humble opinion, a very underrated school.

Your SATs are 1440 and according to the web site: Students who are in the top 10 percent of their high school class with SAT scores of at least 1250 in Critical Reading and Mathematics, and have a record of school or community activities, will be considered for a scholarship, no separate applicaton is necessary.
The scholarships are:
* Presidential Scholarship*
Full tuition and fees as well as a Ramapo residence hall room.
* Ramapo Scholarship*
Full tuition and fees
* Dean's Scholarship*
$5,000 per year
* Merit Scholar
$2,000 award
I don't know how many Presidential or Ramapo scholarships they give out each year but you should have a good shot. Wait it out.

Skygirl, My daughter had 1260 SATs and 3.8 unweighted with loads of AP/Honors and ECs. She got full tuition and fees from Ramapo. She applied in October and heard back relatively early. So, I think you have an excellent chance for an even better package. Unfortunately for me, she doesn't want to stay in NJ and is favoring Delaware, where we are not likely to get any $$$. So maybe you can share what you like about Ramapo.

Call and visit Ramapo, Rowan, William Paterson and Montclair State as well. They all are good in their own way. Ramapo might be the most up and coming. Kids seem very happy at the school.
They should still have an instant decision day. Even if you missed the final application date they'll meet with you I'm sure. I know a child with you stats that last year got a full free ride offer from Montclair and she had not even applied. Call Monday though!
You should get a full package if they aren't all given out yet. You may also qualify for the NJ Tag grants etc.
At the very worst and you got "only" tuition/fees" it comes in at 10,000 a year. The feds will give you loan of 3500 (not due til after you are working) and a 2,000 or so work study. So, 5,000 left. Some you can make up with summer job or parent loans. If you parents borrow that much they can take forever to pay it off - extended payments-at 200 a month or so, maybe less.
I left out Rutgers because although I think you might have gotten a full ride there too - top 5% is a big plus- I think they're not as flexible with late applicants.
