<p>Despite CMC being more conservative than most liberal arts college, i feel that most people embrace anyone who is gay, lesbian, bi, etc. Just as long as that person doesn’t try anything fishy ahahahahah. As for those people who aren’t very accepting of it, don’t even mind them. They aren’t worth your time if they can’t accept you for who you are. I would say there aren’t many people like that. </p>
<p>Everyone is reallly easy going and laid-back. That’s one of my favorite aspects of CMC. People are friendly and will stop and talk to you. Being a tour guide, I’ve encountered many instances where people will pass by and greet my group or scream “COME TO CMC! IT’S AWESOME”. Everyone is outgoing and fun-loving, but freaking smart and hardworking at the same time. LOVE IT…</p>
<p>Also, I think you’ll fit right in as long as you’re ready for some heated debates and conversations. We are politically active and people will not be afraid to disagree with you. If you like hearing counterarguments, etc, then you’ll love it here. I feel like encountering these variety of discussions really builds who you are and what you believe in. Expect changes and embrace them. :)</p>
<p>Actually what juggly_head describes is exactly what attracted my daughter to CMC. Now that she is there, she has found that indeed these are exactly the type of students that go to CMC. They are liberal, very social, but also very focussed on doing well in college and after, whether it be in their career or grad school. She has also found her professors extremely interested and helpful - this has been very important this year in finding summer internships</p>
