What are good colleges for me?

I live in Orange County, California but I’m also interested in going to colleges on the east coast. I’ve been doing choir, orchestra and mock trial. I’m the club president of the Japanese club. Asian (vietnamese) female. I did Junior Acadeca sophomore year.

UW GPA: 3.9
W GPA: 4.4

I’ve taken 8 AP Exams and passed all of them, with a 5 on 6 of them.
AP HUG/Euro/Comp Sci/Lang/Environmental Science/Macro (5) Micro (4) Japanese (3)
I’m in the IB program and my classes are HL Eng Lit/HL Bio/HL Jap/SL Math/SL Econ/SL Psych
SAT/ACT is 1470/32
Majors I’m interested in are journalism, environmental science, and communications, possibly with a minor in Japanese.

I’d like to go to a college with a smaller number of students, but it’s not really a decisive factor for me. No religious affiliation preferable.

Currently looking at Cal State Fullerton and Chapman but only because it’s near where I live. Family income is about 100k.

What can your parents actually pay?

It isn’t east coast, but how about Northwestern?

Have you looked into some of the women’s colleges on the east coast? Run the Net Price Calculator with your parents for some of them to see if you can afford them. Not all small schools will have a journalism major but finding a college with an outstanding writing program and enthusiastic alumnae network could be an effective way of preparing for and entering the field.

Dickinson, Barnard?
