<p>For the most part, most teachers don't care about you missing class. However, if there was a quiz/test that day, you'd better have a damn good excuse or you won't be allowed to make it up.</p>

<p>It is unlikely anyone will ask why you missed class. If pressed for a reason, you could probably use "Sorry, I was really sick - it was awful - I think it must have been food poisoning from eating bad leftovers" or "bad sushi" once with each professor each semester. :)</p>
