what are my chances and where should apply

ok i just finished my junior year

i take aps and honors
i have a 4.0 weighted gpa prolly top 20 out of 730 students
involved in 2 sports for past 3 years
band 2 years
good activities and clubs basically

my sat was

math 700
reading 520
writing 540

i want to major in math and want to know some good math schools on the east coast preferably northeast region for math?? (im not talking about princeton or ivy) Hopefully if i am majoring in math they wont care about reading too much???

Also I was thinking like villanova or what are my chances of getting in there and what are some other possible good math schools?

thanks...

If you like you can start a separate thread on the College Search and Selection forum; ask only for input on other possible schools and delete the “chances” part.

Your chance at Villanova is pretty good, even with your SAT score, which is your biggest weakness. According to Villanova’s 2008 common data set:

[Common Data Set](http://www.villanova.edu/enroll/office/common_data_set/)

About 25% of freshman had scores in the 500-599 range for critical reading and writing. Since your other stats seem great, you should be competitive. Getting your scores up, of course, is the best option if possible.
