What are my chances as a transfer student, realistically??

Hello!

I would be a transfer student, which depending on the school is an advantage or a severe disadvantage. I graduated high school a year early through dual enrollment, with a 3.9 GPA. I am interested in a BFA, so I would be providing my portfolio with my common app, though some of the colleges I’m looking at do not allow that. The school I’ve always dreamed about going to is Yale. I recently visited the campus and fell in love all over again. But honestly I am very discouraged as I don’t have the outstanding resume that even people denied by Yale have. My stats are below so be honest with where I stand, and perhaps provide any advice on what I can do to improve.

Colleges I’m looking at: VCU, UPenn, Yale, RISD, Brown, Carnegie Melon.

Age: 18

Grade: Current sophomore in college.

GPA: My college (FSCJ) did not provided weighted GPA, so unweighted is 4.0

SAT (new): 1560

ACT: 34

Few facts:

-Have been volunteering at a center for troubled youth for 4+ years.
-Scholastic awards for my art
-Went to a prestigious art high school the first two years and then went to a local college and graduated early with 3.9 GPA.
-Have been supporting myself since 16 with part time job
-Can get letters of recommendations from my art teachers (I know some schools prefer letters of rec from core subject professors but since I’m getting BFA, the colleges would prefer a recommendation from an art teacher.)

Anyways, I don’t have a super impressive resume but I am going to make my essay stand out.

VCUARTS will be based on the quality of the portfolio holding the most wait. Know also that VCUARTS grad program is ranked #2 in the entire country with only Yale #1 ranked higher. IMO Richmond is a lot nice than Hartford, ct.
You can always apply for mfa at Yale .
