What are my chances (as far as you can tell) for these two schools?

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to start applying for fall 2015 and I'm starting to get a little worried about being accepted. The two I'm mostly interested in getting an opinion on are Oberlin College and Bennington College. I know Oberlin in a bit of a stretch but I'm curious if its even worth applying. I've visited and know that Bennington is a great fit, which I think the people there saw, but again, there's always the grade issue (I like school and learning, but have had issues with the traditional education system and effort v. results). So, here are some of the important details:

weighted GPA: 3.8, I believe (generally okay grades except 2 C+s in rigorous math courses)
4 APs so far (after senior year it will be 8)
5 in APUSH, 5 in Lang, 4 in bio
currently a 660 in both writing and critical reading, 600 in math for the SAT (will be taking again)
very involved in theatre- was a leader this year in the department and will be one this year as well
member of highly regarded school choir- will hopefully be the president this year
accepted and attended Governor's School for Humanities at Radford University, a highly competitive month long program sponsored by the state, also attended a summer program at Brown University for biology, and held a month long internship at a highly regarded cardiovascular pathology lab

I know I have solid recs as well, and a solid arts supplement. If you need anymore information just let me know, but I think this sums it up pretty well. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

My D will be attending Oberlin this fall and was awarded (surprised us) a merit scholarship. Her GPA was 3.6 (unweighted), no APs before senior year (but many honors), her SAT scores pretty much matched yours in writing and reading but had a 710 in math. Have you considered ACT? My D’s ACT was 32, much higher than her SAT. Her passion is also theater and music. I think what helped her get in were her interviews, recs and essay. She participated in an alumni interview near our hometown in January and did visit Oberlin in Feb, further indicating her interest. On her acceptance letter was a hand-written note referring to her essay and a progressive club she started at school. To sum, her numbers aren’t outstanding but through interviews and essay they saw the person who is a great match for the school. I think you have a great chance!

I did take the ACT, which I did equally well on at first and then went down. Thank you so much for your feedback, very helpful!
