So I'm going into my junior year, in NY so I have to go instate and Binghamton is one of the best SUNY schools if not the best in NY.
My average GPA is 92(3.6 out of 4.0, unweighted), I took Earth Science in 8th grade, did Bio and Chem,
I took honors english and SS in 9th grade, honors english in 10th along with AP World where I finished with a 90 and got a 4 on the AP
Math is not my strong point so I took Algebra in 9th, Geometry in 10th, and Trig now in Junior year
Junior year I'm taking AP Lit, APUSH, and AP Spanish ( I got a 100 on my Spanish III regents last year)
In my sophomore year I was VP and starting this year I will be President of our schools Environmental Club
Outside of school for the past two years I have been involved in a youth owned and operated 501C3 organization where I am VP that focuses on doing volunteer work around our village.
I have wanted to go to Bing for a few years and I am pretty sure I will be able to get in, I just would like your opinion

Your definitely not the usual type of chancee here, but I’m pretty sure you should be able to get in.

-------------------------------------------If it is to be, it is up to me…

You have a very similar, if not better profile, than a bunch of kids from my school who got into Bing, so I’d say you have a good shot.

Also, you may want to check out Geneseo; it’s right up there with Bing in terms of academic quality but is more student-centered and stronger in the humanities.

Yeah either Binghamton or Geneseo for sure, I just know that Bing is easier to get into and I didn’t think I would have a shot at Geneseo but if you say so haha

What’s your SAT for Critical Reading and Math.

Binghamton places SAT and GPA much higher than the other aspects of the application. A weak SAT or GPA despite a strong other one can still get you a rejection letter. If you have a 1400+ SAT, then you are definitely in. 1300+ and you are most likely in.

Source: Dad is guidance counselor and is really really good friends with a Binghamton admissions officer.

Well I’m only going into my junior year but I can guarantee that my SAT scores will be at least that ahaha
