Are there schools that I might have a better shot at?

Congrats on the success in school. And a lot will depend on your total package. You would be a serious candidate but I would personally say it will be the 27 percent level. 2 or 3 with your stats out of ten will get an acceptance. This is the overall admit rate. The avg student last year was 33 1458 sat. You are in the running for sure but would not have expectations get ahead of the numbers.

Note that SAT 1448 and ACT 33 are the averages for the pool of admitted students for class of 2022. For students who actually enrolled in the Class of 2022, the averages are SAT 1392, ACT 32. https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/bcnews/campus-community/announcements/mahoney.html

Is there any way you suggest I improve my profile? I’m only a junior and trying to get an idea of where I stand in terms of admissions.

My son was accepted last year early action and as a legacy. He had a 3.7 uw and 32 ACT. May help to bring up your gpa and write an essay that makes you stand out. If your planning a business major I would consider Bentley Univ too.

As evergreen noted. I choose to look at admitted students profile since those are the only who can attend. Also the averages include urm. Legacies development cases and a large pool of d 1 admitted athletes. These groups traditionally have lower statistical profiles.

To answer your question you should strive for a good fall “grade wise”, solid teacher recs and your essay and supplements. You should keep up the great work and spread your options across the many great schools out there. You’ll have great choices in the end.

More A’s, and lots of 'em. Approx. 85% of BC’s students were in the top decile of their HS class, and I’m guessing a 3.43 is not close to top decile at your HS.

What about Math? No math this year or next? Have you already completed Calculus? AP Stats?
