What are my chances at Columbia University?

I'm applying to the college - here are my stats you chill superfly baby cats.

SAT Scores

SAT1 Math - 730
SAT1 Verbal - 670
SAT2 Math IC - 760
SAT2 Writing - 720
SAT2 US History - 690

Unweighted GPA - 3.7

AP's - English language and Comp, English Literature, Spanish

all other courses are honors

Extra-curriculars

Editor-in-chief of school newspaper
weekly volunteer tutoring outside of school
JV Tennis
Student Government Execute Council Member

also, my mom works at Columbia Journalism school

so whaddaya think?

I'd say you have a decent shot since your mom works there... Your lack of AP classes will probably hurt you (unless your school only offers 5 or so). Also, your test scores, while decent, won't help you much either.

That being said, I'm a fellow high school students with slightly worse stats, so I wouldn't take my word for it.

i feel u moocow, but i dont think you know what your talking about

I think you are a "possible match" for Columbia. Your SAT/GPA is a little low, but you could still get accepted.

Why is that? I don't see anything flagrantly wrong with my response.

A) Most ivy league applicants have taken more than 3 AP classes.

B) Your test scores simply "put you in the range." I don't think your verbal score would even put you in the top 50%. However, your math score is up there and your math IC score is very good. A 760 is what, minus 1, minus 2? As a math deficient student, i'm quite envious :)

yea, shamala
