@sparkykoolkat Should have a solid shot. Strong candidate academically and ECs are fine I suppose, though standard for an incoming pre-med/science major (especially for a person with your SAT). Also, are you primarily going to be a pre-med or are you serious about choosing places good at biology? The two are not necessarily the same. If you are pre-med and you are planning on a bio major because most pre- meds do so (most don’t like to admit this is the reason why to anyone, but it often has some truth), then I would entertain many less selective schools that perhaps educate in science well or decently. At such schools, your stats would be a better predictor of success in a pre-med track and you could likely be a little more ambitious with the coursework you choose at such schools without constantly worrying that your peers in higher caliber courses may outdo you/you get the wrong end of a curve. Do not over-estimate the effect of attending a selective/elite public or private for medical school admissions. Best to consider places where you feel comfortable enough to develop any talents you have via the coursework while also doing well vs. the cohort. Just my 2 cents.
