What are my chances at Emory RD?

Forgot to mention 7 aps and 7 honors classes

Emory or Oxford? I think that Emory RD would be a highish reach for you, while Oxford would be a low reach. Worth your while to apply to each or either, though.

I applied to both through common app.

While Im here, I also applied to NYU, GT, BU, Villanova. Chances at those?

NYU is a crap shoot in all cases, but a reach for everybody. GTech is a high reach especially since you are OOS, Boston U is a solid reach, and my guess is that Villanova is likely a low reach or maybe a high match.

Thanks for the help.

I may or may not be in agreement with what has already been shared. Help me understand your weighted GPA to include final grades by class name (include level) for each course, each year.

Emory and NYU - If you take 4/5 honors or AP classes each year, they are appropriate reaches. Anything less, it will be difficult for you.

I like GT, BU and Villanova for you and you will likely go 1 or 2 for 3. But, please share your schedule because that will tell me a lot.

My weighted is 3.97 (My school uses a very weak weighted system)
9th grade - only one honor class with straight A’s (I had just moved and struggled)
10th grade- all honors with straight A’s and one B
11th grade - 3 aps 2 honors with 1 B as well
12th grade - 4 aps with mostly A’s and one honor

Thanks for sharing. You will likely get into 1 or both between Villanova and BU - assuming strong applications. Please apply to one safer school just in case. The others may be slightly out of range. Do you go to a public school in the northeast and how competitive is it? Thanks

public school. and yes my safeties are temple and Pitt.

Are you applying as an international student? (I see that you are in the NE, but also Syrian, so just double checking).

no applying from NE, I highlighted me moving several times in my essay and in supplementals I talked about my background

You have a great list then IMO.

Dream - Emory, NYU, GT (-)
Just Right - Villanova, BU
No Problem - Temple, Pitt

So you are a US citizen, or a permanent resident (have green card)?

What is the section breakdown of your test score? Did you apply test optional anywhere?

What is your budget? Are Temple and Pitt affordable?

US citizen. And my score breakdown is 670 Reading 750 Math. I sent my scores everywhere

Have you heard from Pitt yet?

What is your budget? Are Pitt and Temple likely to be affordable, using net price calculators? Have you run the NPCs on the other schools too?

I agree with mwolf’s categorization. Trying to make sure you have at least one affordable safety.

thank you. I also applied to WF, Lehigh, Case western, and Maryland. Opinions on those?

Wake - Dream -
Lehigh - Just Right+
Case - Just Right+
Maryland - Just Right-

Enough schools

Great. Thank you.
