Work:
- I will be working as an intern at Morgan Stanley this summer.

it's hard to chance someone when you don't have actual SAT scores...

Well I've taken numerous SAT practice tests and have generally scored between 2250-2300, and I just took the SAT in May, but I haven't gotten my score back yet. But I think it is somewhere between 2220 and 2300.

Keep in mind about UVA that a lot of students from Maryland (especially around Bethesda) apply to the University to competition to get in may be rather tough.

That being said, I still think you have a decent chance. Can't speak for the other school though. BTW if you are gonna do Cornell for business/econ its best to steer away for AEM for the best possible chance.

Oh alright thanks for the advice... but if i do go to Cornell, it would be AEM

how did you get an internship with morgan stanley?

my sister interned there a few years ago and the same guy she interned for offered me an internship.

it might be harder since you're asian, but i think you definitely have a shot at the top schools

since your school is competitive, you may have better chances -- just out of curiousity, how many people from your school generally get into ivies and top schools?

this years graduating class has 2 people going to harvard, 2 going to dartmouth, 1 going to yale, 3 going to naval academy, 1 going to westpoint, 1 going to MIT

theres also 1 duke, 4 john hopkins, 3 vanderbilts, a few uva's, and at least a dozen NYU's

~ 2nd place: World Processing I at Maryland Regional Conference (Soph. yr)
~ 2nd place: World Processing I at Maryland State Conference (Soph. yr)

Off topic but can you explain to me what a word processing competition entails?

lol yeah it sounds really lame
basically
you have one hour on the computer using microsoft word. they give you a packet and they have a bunch of typed information inside. u basically have to retype all the stuff in different formats such as in a memorandum, business letter, minutes for a meeting, etc.

in addition to the computer portion, you also have 1 hour to complete a 100 question written test, and the questions on it ask you about formatting stuff, shortcut keys, etc.
