<p>@ab8894 I live in upstate NY, and I haven’t really looked at NYU because they don’t have any sports or anything, and that’s a big part of what I’m looking for - the “total college experience” if you will. But I’ll check it out if you think I have a good chance to get in there. Also, I’ve heard from a lot of professors that it’s actually the contrary for financial aid, that if you are farther away they’ll give you more financial aid because they want geographic diversity. For example, U Richmond has 80% out of state students and gives them an average of $36,000 in financial aid. I think that reasoning may just be for private schools, though. And I’m already signed up to take the ACT next week so there’s no going back now haha, but I’m confident I’ll get a better score based on a few practice tests that I took I got 31-32’s. I’ll check out NYU though, thanks for the advice!</p>

<p>I think your chances are great for all of those schools though I agree that Cornell and perhaps even Wake Forest are both reaches for you. Being a potential DI recruit can only help though! Chance me back?

<p>Hey everybody just wanted to update this thread, I just got my ACT scores back and I got a 33 composite! (33 English 30 Math 34 reading 35 science) How does this change my chances? Thanks!</p>
