My kid got waitlisted this year (did get cleared though) as a Cybersecurity major - 1540 SAT, 35 ACT, 3.73 uw, about 4.55 fully weighted GPA.
I was recently admitted to Northeastern after being waitlisted with very similar stats, and I will be attending. I’ve seen applicants with much higher grades/test scores get flat out rejected. It really depends on your major and I think Northeastern truly does a holistic review. If you have no financial constraints, consider applying Early Decision (binding), which will show interest and increase your chances of acceptance. Good luck!
I was reminded in another thread that Northeastern probably is one of those schools that utilizes yield protection a lot i.e. puts a lot of high stat kids on waitlist. So for the OP, s/he could very well be in the ring of an acceptable range. Best thing to do is to apply ED if this is the top target school.
