So do you think I should apply ED at Wharton or Stern, because I think I have a much better shot at getting into Stern than Wharton.

Unless Stern is really your first choice, I would go ED @ Wharton, RD @ NYU, Chicago, Michigan, MIT, and Berkeley. Apply to Michigan in early fall and you will most likely get an acceptance to the Ross School of Buisness shortly after.

Out of those schools which do you think are matches, safties, reaches, etc.

Penn - Wharton - Reach
NYU - Stern - Match
UChicago - Match
UMichigan - Ross - Safety - Match
MIT - Sloan - Reach
Berkeley - Hass - Reach

So I should have a very good chance if I am applying to Stern ED?

You guys, UChic is pretty selective.
Our school is lucky in that nearly everyone is accepted into NYU.
I don't know what I did but math was my weakest subject/SAT II score and I still got into Wharton. Therefore that's not the hugest part of admissions.

Do you have leadership roles in any of your activities? If you don't that's not good. You definitely don't stand out, unless your essays are completely amazing and/or you have great awards.

like any college, these three want to see ambition and passion for something.

anyway, yeah. good chance of Stern Ed i'd say. but i don't really know for you... they take nearly everyone from my school.

Yeah I'm not too sure about NYU...since they nearly accept everyone who applies at my school. At Penn however, only 3 or 4 people have been accepted in the past 4 years. For UChicago nearly everyone who applies here gets in.

I dont get what you guys are saying. Are you talking about me?

" good chance of Stern Ed i'd say. but i don't really know for you... they take nearly everyone from my school"
"Yeah I'm not too sure about NYU"

... yes we're talking about you.
we're saying that, since nearly everyone in our schools is accepted to NYU, we can't tell you you'll definitely get in because we think our schools' situations w/ acceptances to NYU is abnormally high.

at least that's what i'm saying.

Besides that do you think I have an overall good chance at Stern if I apply ED?

Yes, now please stop worrying. :(

Yea, thanks for all your comments.

Anyone else can still give me their opinions.

"Penn - Wharton - Reach
NYU - Stern - Match
UChicago - Match
UMichigan - Ross - Safety - Match
MIT - Sloan - Reach
Berkeley - Hass - Reach

Wharton may be a reach, the others aren't. theres a lot of cross admits between stern and chicago so if you are in at stern, you are most likely in at chicago and vice versa. Sloan isn't much harder than stern to get into, and yes, OPS SAT is about 300 pts too high for Haas. He needs a 4.3, 1100 for a shot at Berkeley.

wow did quakerman actually call wharton a reach & stern a match? :)

you should apply to Cornell AEM its getting really competitive and only other ivy league school with an undergraduate accredited business program besides wharton...should be ranked pretty high this year..probably top 10

No quakerman, Sloan @ MIT is HARDER to get into than NYU Stern. Many have been admitted to Stern but rejected from Sloan - especially at my school. Looking back into our database, I haven't seen anyone being admitted to Sloan and rejected/waitlisted at Stern. And also...Berkeley is a reach for the OP. I don't care how good his SAT's are - he is out of state and Berkeley receives many stellar out of state applications and they can only admit a select number.

I just got my SAT II scores back: 800 Math IIC, 800 Chemistry, and 750 APUSH. Do these scores help me at all?

I would say so. And don't apply Wharton ED... that's my territory lol. When did you take your SAT IIs? It seems odd that you would get them now...

MIT is very hard to get into, period. It's very engineeringish focused if I'm right.
