<p>i have maintained an unweighted GPA of 3.7 throughout both freshman and sophomore year. but when the first term of my junior year ended, my gpa dropped to a 3.5. i have all honors and 2 ap classes. i plan on getting a minimum of 3.8+ (its looking possible so far) by the end of the 2nd term. did i ruin my chances getting into NYU due to my low GPA in the 1st term? i scored a 2100 on my first SAT and plan on retaking it in may.</p>

<p>Wrong forum, and I think you have a good shot at NYU if your GPA doesn't go below a 3.4</p>
<p>I think you have a decent shot, a friend of mine was just accepted with about the same GPA and lower test scores by about 200 points or so.</p>
<p>It depends- which department are you applying to? If you're talking about Stern, then your chances are very,very slim.</p>
