What are my chances at: Penn State, Emerson, Temple, University of Pittsburg

Hi, I am a current senior wondering about my chances of getting into these colleges but mostly Penn state. Here is some of my info:
Sophmore year: AP World History, honors english
Junior: AP Language, AP Human Geography, Honors history, Spanish 4
Senior: AP Government, AP Language, AP Spanish
I have 4 years of math and sciences.

My school is competitive and I have an unweighted GPA of 3.3. My SAT score is 1210 but I am taking it again October 6th and feel more confident than I did the first time on raising my score.

My main extracurricular is Model UN but I am a president of two clubs and dabble in a lot of other clubs. I am also an officer of leadership honor society and a member of english honor society. People from my school with similar statistics have gotten in but have also not gotten in! So I’m very confused as to where I stand. I am opting into Penn State’s summer program and am applying as liberal arts undecided with an interest in political communications/government.

Any advice or truth would be great!
Thanks

SAT seems good but GPA is on the low side. I still think you have a good shot though

For PSU’s main campus, your GPA and Test scores fall below the 25th percentile of accepted students.

This means that main campus is a more like a low reach for you. Accepted students with lower stats are likely recruited athletes, students with a hook or underrepresented minority, or possibly have special circumstances to explain their lower stats. Pitt would be about the same. Temple’s freshman profile suggests slightly lower stats are acceptable, so you should get in there—but for PSU, I personally think you will be offered a branch campus for your first two years ) 2+2 program.

Thanks so much! I definitely won’t be heartbroken over Penn State and know it’s a reach! Temple is my second choice so that’s good to hear!
