What are my chances at Penn without a 4.0?

California student

Academic gpa, unweighted, is a 3.8. I had all A's as a freshman except for Spanish, where i got a B+. Sophomore year I had 5 B's - WHAP, Chem Honors (twice), Precalc Honors, and Spanish again. Junior year I had straight A's, which brought me back up to a 3.8. Does UPenn look at the curve?
Weighted GPA is a 4.6 weighted
Very vigorous school, not in top 4%

2370 SAT I (800 math/writing, 770 reading)
750 Chem SAT
800 Math SAT
740 Lit SAT

239 PSAT - NMS Semifinalist (so far)

Volunteered at least 2 hours a week since Sophomore year
Volunteered 4 hours a week since beginning of Junior year
ASB for four years, current school treasurer
Speech and Debate for four years, current Public Forum Captain

Graphic/Business design internship at startup after Sophomore year-very involved
Teaching internship over last summer - 200+ hours working with and tutoring kids. Program was called 5th best internship in the nation by Princeton Review

Expect application essays to be at least good - Brother goes to brown but got into Upenn, is helping me with my essays.

I'm applying early

So how are my chances?

1) your academic record says you’re viable.
2) given the mercurial nature of selective schools’ admissions, wisdom dictates readying non ED apps.

But I def think PENN will be happy to read your ED application. Good luck

For sure, I’m setting up applications to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, and various others as well. Question though, does ED give you a significant bump in Upenn? The stats say yes, but people say a lot of that is legacy/sports

Some questions here are borderline ridiculous…

Sorry, I’m a little new to this collegeconfidential thing. I was legitly asking though
