I know that my gpa is quite low for some of the reach schools I am applying to, but does anyone know any top tier colleges that care “less” about GPA? E.G. I heard UChicago does not care too much about what your gpa actually is, but takes more into account your class rigor etc. Anyone have suggestions/ know some of these reach schools that I should be applying to?

For Computer Science:

The University of Texas at Austin

The University of Washington

The University of Illinois

Since you are from Connecticut, I will point out that U.Mass Amherst is nearby and is very strong for computer science. I know ton’s of software engineers who graduated from there, including at least three of the strongest software engineers that I have ever worked with. Its application deadline is January 15 for RD.

Can anyone chance me at these schools?
