I’ve been interested in schools in the UK since I first started thinking about college, and now that I have a majority of my scores in, I was wondering what people’s opinions on the likelihood of me getting into some of my top choices were.
Here are my scores after the completion of my Junior year in an American high school:
AP’s:
US: 4
Biology: 5
Psych: 4 (don’t know how I screwed this one up)
Lit: 4
World: 5
Environmental: 5
Expected scores in senior year ap’s:
Euro: 5
Gov Pol: 5
Economics (macro and micro): 5
Physics: 4
Lang: 5
SAT II scores:
Bio: 720
US History: 800
World: 800
Lit: 800
ACT Composite: 32
Breakdown:
34 Reading
34 English
28 Math
30 Science
36 Writing (not sure how much UK schools care about this)
I’ve only taken one ACT and plan to take another and study for math and science so im guessing my final score will be higher, 34?
I’m interested in History, economics, and politics so at oxford im thinking about applying for PPE, and at other schools either plain history or a combination of history and economics.
Here is a list of schools I’m interested in (I know I’ll have to narrow it down to 5 for UCAS)
Oxford, LSE, UCL, KCL, Durham, St. Andrews.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated,
thanks
